Breakwater

Breakwater Operations

A bid that took three days now takes four hours.

We find where your operation is losing hours and money, then build the fix. Not a pilot. Not a strategy deck. A working system with a number attached.

Who this is for

Alaska organizations, roughly 30 to 400 people, where a decision-maker can move without waiting on a long approval chain.

We do our best work in construction, logistics, transportation and marine, tourism and hospitality, oil and gas, and Alaska Native corporations and their subsidiaries. That's where our instincts are sharpest, not a fence. If you're outside it and something's eating your week, ask.

Where we're a bad fit

Organizations with long procurement cycles and heavy internal bureaucracy. Not because the work isn't interesting, but because the value of what we do shows up fast, and a twelve month approval process wastes that.

We're also not set up for regulated healthcare data or ITAR controlled work yet. If that's your situation we'll tell you on the first call instead of three weeks in.

How we work

Everything is remote, over Zoom. Sessions are recorded and transcribed, so nothing gets lost between the conversation and the build. Sessions run 90 minutes.

Where to start

Most people don't start at the bottom and climb. You come in where your certainty already is. This exists so nobody has to buy more than they're ready for.

Ongoing partnership

Who keeps this running and finds the next one?

Sustained work for organizations that want us in the operation. Most clients don't need this, and we'll say so.

What this looks like in practice

Take an Alaska construction company. Assembling a bid takes three days: pulling historical costs, formatting scope, chasing subs for numbers. So they bid on less work than they'd like, because bidding is expensive.

The fix isn't "AI for construction." It's a system that assembles the first draft from their own historical data in an afternoon.

Then it goes further. Public bid records show which jobs they won, which they lost, and by how much. A system that reads their own bid history against their competitors' can show them where they're consistently leaving money on the table, and where they're bidding into work they never win.

An illustrative example, not a case study. We're early enough to be straight about that. The moment we have a client outcome with real numbers, it goes here with their name on it.

Why us

We're not consultants who studied this. We run a company that uses AI across its whole operation daily, with payroll on the line. Before that we fished commercially and worked construction here.

We know what a week actually looks like, and what it costs when a system doesn't get used.

More about us

  • $720M+ in client revenue generated since 2016
  • 600+ store owners worked with
  • 100+ people employed over the years
  • Covered in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Bloomberg, and Yahoo Finance

Tell us what's slow.

If something in your operation eats more of the week than it should, that's the conversation. We'll tell you straight whether it's worth doing anything about, including when the answer is not yet.
